This really is great content from Heineken, who have a whole YouTube channel dedicated to their branded (but non-promotional) videos. We all know the scenario where job candidates get asked the same, uninspiring questions they can just reel off pre-prepared answers to. Heineken turn their search for a marketing intern on its head – the result being one very happy new employee, and one hilarious video.
As well as going viral (with 5m+ views on YouTube) and providing entertainment value, the video also helps position the brand in consumers' minds as one which is fun, and not afraid to be different. It clearly demonstrates that Heineken would certainly be an innovative and interesting place to work – a great way to build the brand on the inside and out.
